Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 26, 2026
CardSnap MTG ("the App") is developed with your privacy in mind. This policy explains what information the App handles and how.
Camera & Photos
The App uses your device's camera to scan Magic: The Gathering cards. Photos are processed entirely on your device using Apple's on-device Vision framework — they are never uploaded to us or stored on any server we operate.
Card Data Lookups
To identify a scanned card, the App sends the recognized text (such as a set code and collector number) to Scryfall's public API (scryfall.com). No personal information is included in these requests.
Your Collection
Your card collection, including scan history and finish/price data, is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to it, and it is not transmitted to any server we operate.
Moxfield Import/Export
If you import or export a Moxfield CSV file, that file is handled locally through iOS's standard file picker. We do not receive a copy of it.
Subscriptions
Subscription purchases and billing are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment information.
Data We Do Not Collect
The App does not require an account, does not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
