Terms of Use

By downloading or using CardSnap MTG ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

1. Description of Service

CardSnap MTG lets you scan Magic: The Gathering cards using your device's camera to identify them and track them in a personal collection. Card data and images are retrieved from Scryfall's public API.

2. Subscriptions

The App offers a free tier (limited daily scans, collection size, and import/export rows) and an optional auto-renewing Premium subscription (monthly or annual) that removes those limits.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to at purchase. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID account settings — we have no ability to process cancellations or refunds directly, as all billing is handled by Apple.

3. Third-Party Card Data

Card names, images, rules text, and pricing are sourced from Scryfall and, ultimately, Wizards of the Coast. We don't control or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of this data.

4. Magic: The Gathering Trademark

CardSnap MTG is unofficial Fan Content permitted under the Fan Content Policy. Not approved or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast. Portions of the materials used are property of Wizards of the Coast. ©Wizards of the Coast LLC.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to violate any law, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the App, or use automated means to extract data from it beyond normal use.

6. Your Collection Data

Your collection is stored locally on your device. We don't have access to it and aren't responsible for data loss from deleting the App, replacing your device, or similar events — export your collection periodically if you want a backup.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee scan accuracy, uninterrupted access, or that identified cards/prices are error-free.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
